5:10 AM Radar & Winter Storm Update

5:10 AM Update: The cold front is quickly working through the state. As of 5:10 AM, it is 41 degrees in Richmond and 20 in Terre Haute and Lafayette!

Our HD Radar powered by Guardian Angel Hospice, Inc. is showing a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet working it’s way across Indiana (green = rain, pink = mix, blue = snow). We’ve gotten reports of freezing rain and sleet across much of Western and Central Indiana with reports of roads quickly becoming icy as temperatures rapidly drop.

Roadways will become hazardous across the entire area today as temperatures drop and a mix of freezing rain and sleet falls this morning. The freezing rain and sleet should transition to snow later this morning and into this afternoon.

Use extreme caution if you are traveling this morning and be prepared for hazardous driving conditions. Let us know what you are seeing where you live.
