Heavy Snow Expected For Extreme Northern Indiana Tonight – Friday

The largest snow event of the season will impact parts of extreme Northern Indiana starting tonight and continuing through Friday.

Winter Storm Warnings are in effect from Chicago to South Bend and over to Angola. Snow will develop tonight and continue through the day on Friday.

We are forecasting 8-12″ of snow for areas right along the Indiana/Michigan border including Chicago, Gary, La Porte, South Bend, Elkhart and Angola.

4-8″ of snow is expected slightly farther South from Lowell to Syracuse and over to Auburn.

We are forecasting 2-4″ of snow for the Fort Wayne area but the Fort Wayne area will likely be on the lower end of that range with around 2-3″.

Roadways in these areas will become snow covered and hazardous tonight and visibility could be significantly reduced in heavier snow showers.
