We are continuing to track the dangerous Category 5 Hurricane Irma. Irma is currently moving through the Turks and Caicos and towards the Bahamas.
The new track of Irma has the hurricane on a collision course with Southern Florida including the Miami area and the new National Hurricane Center forecast calls for Irma to make landfall across Southern Florida on Sunday as a Category 4 Hurricane with winds of 135 mph.
As Irma continues her Northward path, there is a chance that the remnants of the hurricane could bring gusty winds and heavy rainfall to parts of the Ohio Valley by the middle to end of next week.
If you have family and friends in Florida or you live in Florida, make sure you or they take all evacuation orders VERY seriously. This is an extremely dangerous storm.
